GO BUCKEYES!!

      I am really into antiques. And family history. And Ohio State University. And especially…the Ohio State Marching Band! {Better known as The Best Damn Band in The Land}. So, when I saw my mom out raking leaves this morning I immediately noticed her shirt. Then, I looked over to my dad who was mulching.  (Please disregard the fact that I was not lifting a finger at this point—I do better observing other people rake and mulch) Not wanting to be completely helpless, while the rest of the family was working hard, I ran to get my camera. And this is what I captured:

Not only is my mother REALLY cute, she is sporting my dad’s old OSU Marching Band T shirt!! YES—my dad played the trumpet (in T row!) for the best damn band in the land!! A practical celebrity, right?! Well, to my family anyways. But this gets better. I called my dad over…

To document his outfit—OSU hat, and marching band sweatshirt. Kodak moment. And that sweatshirt..it has seen some love. When I think of my father, I think of this sweatshirt.  Whether working in the garage, cooking, morning walks, exercising. It seems to be his constant companion. Sorry, mom.

GO BUCKEYES!!! Had to post this in honor of the game today. And if you are wondering why the band doesn’t sound quite as good as it did in 1974-1978, it’s because my dad is missing from T Row :)

~My parents do not normally dress in this fashion. They were, as I said, doing yard work..also apparent through my dad’s earplugs. Actually, my dad DOES frequently dress in this fashion. I should probably revoke this disclaimer.
