Tuesday News

I am kicking off 2012 by taking a month of work. I’ll be traveling to exotic locations, sleeping in until noon, going shopping in the middle of the day and throwing a schedule out the window. Just joshing!! I’ll be hanging out with Cecilia & Thomas, helping their mommy out for a while. I can’t decide who is luckier…me not having to drive into Norfolk everyday or C & T, who will be receiving heaps of hugs & kisses in January. In any event, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve my family and certainly am not going to mind coming home at 4:30 in the evening instead of 7. The Renaissance man will enjoy earlier dinners as a result. Win, win, win.

I am also embarking on the photo-a-day Endeavour. I highly doubt I will snap a photograph a day, but I think it will definitely motivate me to keep the camera out & ready to document. I probably won’t post the photos on the blog daily, but maybe bi-weekly. Speaking of the blog, my design & layout have got to go! It was originally set up as a photoblog, and while I still share lots of pictures, I don’t think they need to be quite so huge. I also can’t stand the colors. Ever heard of mercurial temperament? Look it up in the dictionary & you will see a huge picture of me.

Marcus is half studying-half watching the Hokies. Poor fire recruit. It is going to be a tough couple of weeks for him, as he completes the EMT-enhanced class {typically a four month class} in two weeks of course work, followed by a whirlwind of clinicals. When he is not studying or watching football or fixing the Trusty Rusty or playing basketball in the driveway with my brothers {yay holidays} or juggling oranges for Jack he is doing crossword puzzles. With me. in bed. at 8:30 pm. I think I should mention that we are the coolest, hippest, most exciting couple around. We are celebrating seven months of wedded bliss by staying up to watch the Tech game. But it’s not looking good y’all {our bedtime, not the football score} seeing as both of us are struggling under heavy eyelids.

I know you all wish I would continue on with my stimulating news update, but, like I said…it’s getting late & I’ve got a crossword puzzle calling my name..

So sad that the Hokies lost last night! But I am always happy to have updates from my lovely Laura!
